Edible Artwork

Anyone who knows me would tell you that i love a good piece of cake. Cake is vital fuel to help my creative thought process. Many an illustration has been hatched as I've munched on a skinny stem ginger muffin (or a not-so-skinny-should-serve-8 carrot cake from Costco).

You can imagine how my eyes lit up when i saw 2 of my favourite things coupled together, cute quirky monsters made from cake. The creator of the cake is talented bakey-cakey lady, Stacey, whom i had the pleasure of having coffee with a few weeks ago. After dreaming of owning her own bakery for as long as she could remember, on April the 10th Whoo's Bakery was opened.

If the sight of cake makes your eyes widen and gives you what can only be described as Wallace and Gromit 'cracking cheese' fingers, then head on over to Whoo's Bakery!

New Work

I've been busy the last few days working on new stuff for my portfolio. Bit different as i've lost the usual black outline around the character.

Cakey Bird

A lot of the time i scribble something in my pad that has nothing to do with anything. This little bird and cake was one of those nothings but i felt i had to colour him and he might come in handy for something... like a tote bag!
